A Chinese restaurant filled with live jazz and fancy art nouveau? It seems Brighton's pseudo–intellectual set have indoctrinated yet another perfectly normal venue and made it all posh and clever. Where this place is concerned though it kind of works –the place is light and airy and the food is top, with plenty of weird stuff if you're feeling adventurous. You'll need to be on your best behaviour though –it verges on scarily quiet at times. Mr & Mrs Smythe really don't need to hear a blow by blow account of exactly what your mate Steve did with the girl in the video shop. Really, they don't.
