Swarming with students, The Lectern is full of bright, clashing colours–which depending on your sobriety could either be fashionable or tasteless. They can't be that adverse to 'educated' discount card bearing individuals, after pub closing, the club upstairs gives free membership to NUS only. Whilst that's only slightly irritating, wait 'til you hear it's like a huge party, with free shots given away to fuel the fun. Annoying if you're not a student? Exactly. Make friends with one, now.

I strongly recommend that The Lectern is not the place for any human being. The ladies' and mens' toilets should be shut down. The manager... well, if he smiled his face would crack. I had a roast dinner there, and after one mouthful I sent it back; even a dog would have turned his nose away from it. Party atmosphere? You are joking? More like a morgue.
