The oh–so continental pavement tables are the best place to people watch in the whole of Brighton. Punks, tramps and freaks are yours to survey. Inside, every chair and table has one leg slightly shorter than the rest although I'm not sure why. Perhaps they were just too bohemian to buy proper furniture. The coffee is delicious, but the food is overpriced despite being pleasant enough. Both are marred by teeth–grindingly slow service, although most of the customers here have probably never been in a hurry in their entire lives.

User Reviews for Dorset, The
July 5, 2007. I paid 2.95 for a bottle of Becks, which was just below room temperature. The barmaid claimed it had been in the fridge all day and then became sarcastic when I suggested the fridge obviously wasn't working properly. The person in charge was barely polite although she did offer to replace the beer. There didn't seem any point as it would have come from the same fridge. I hadn't been in the place for ages and won't be going back.
