'Triffic. There I was wondering where I could load on the blue eyeshadow, dig out my pixie boots and try on that leopard–skin number, and oh Lordy, they've sorted me right out. Using Bar Lion d'Or as their inspiration – cough, interesting choice –, they've gone to town on a vaguely tasteless 80s revival. It's truly miraculous that they've turned the former cool and stylish Lanes End into this mish–mash of gaudiness. They're still holding the trump card though, with the upstairs bar open 'til 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
