Langs Hotel

Open since November 2000, Langs has been building quite a reputation for itself in the hotel world and throughout the city. The theory behind the hotel was to design from the perspective of the customer. Situated in the heart of the city, Langs makes an ideal location for a city or shopping break, the only downfall is they don't have their own carpark, however they do offer discounts on nearby parking. So, what do they have on offer? The hotel has 100 rooms, these are made up of a selection of Standards, Suites, Duplex Apartments and Langs Suites. No two rooms are quite the same, with each floor having it's own colour scheme. However, what really sets it apart from the crowd is the fact each room comes with Play Station, CD player, satellite TV and body jet shower. When it comes to what they have on offer, with its contemporary and individual design you're unlikely to find a carbon copy of the place out there. The interior of the hotel was built from scratch and every item of furniture was apparently designed specifically for the hotel. The hotel boasts two restaurants: Oshi, a fusion restaurant and Aurora, serving contemporary Scottish cuisine. Aurora is what you'd expect really from an upmarket hotel restaurant. However, Oshi is quite different. The centre of the restaurant is engulfed by a floor to ceiling water feature which culminates in a huge flaming fire ball. Specialising in fusion cuisine, it makes an ideal contemporary space to dine in for lunch or casual dinner. Above Oshi Restaurant they offer Oshi Spa. By far the best beauty salon in the city, it has four individually themed rooms and like the hotel directs itself towards the younger end of the market. All in all, it would be our recommended choice of hotel from which to base your city break in Glasgow. For a bit of luxury, look no further than Langs.
