The Arc

Situated just behind Strathclyde University so don't be surprised to find a predominantly student crowd. However, add on the fact it's a yellow card pub – meaning discount heaven –, has board games – Connect 4, Snakes and Ladders etc –, and you get a beer and a burger for under four quid, you begin to realise that the student popularity is more than just location. It also looks a lot better than the union bar, with the added bonus of a beer garden out the back and pool tables. It gets a bit sweaty at the weekend though, and you'll be wishing that some people had budgeted for some deodorant in their weekly shop if you stay too long.
