Slug & Lettuce

With wooden floors and big leather sofas, this bar was probably quite cutting edge when it first opened. Now it's just a slightly tattier version of all the other bars in its genre. Big, bland and boring the Slug and Lettuce doesn't really have anything much to offer your discerning drunkard. It's popular with lunching office workers on weekdays and bar crawlers on weekends but they must be either profoundly boring or profoundly deaf –the music's so loud in here you can see your drink quivering.
