Park Street

In the absence of any 6000m peaks in the city, many budding mountaineers like to get into shape by simply walking up and down the steep incline of Park Street. We're not joking either. It's commonplace to see cyclists overtaking the cars, completely out of control, screaming for their lives before they slap into the side of the cathedral and perish. But don't let that put you off. For here, among the struggling commuters heaving themselves up Bristol's flanks you'll find an endless array of the finest in fashion, from the magnificent BS8 and Westworld (thankfully not the swaggering moron who'll pimp your ride) to the shoe Meccas of the Boot Room and Cara. The best part is that you'll have buns of steel after a shopping trip here.
