Sushi is not just food, it's art, so expect to spend a good hour or so grappling with your chopsticks as you sample a range of small adventurous courses. You really have to begin with maki – seaweed rolls –, but watch out for the green wasabi paste –it may look innocent, but it kicks ass. To illustrate the menu's uniqueness, the chef is the only one in the country licensed to cook the deadly blowfish. The whole experience is luxuriously oriental, with minimalist red and black style furnishings and a champagne bar with prices up to £220 a bottle. Evening prices are a little steep but go at lunchtime and get a 4–course meal for £6.
