The Joogleberry Playhouse
For a city that's meant to be 'alternative', 'vibrant' and 'arty', most of what's on offer here is about as interesting as Question Time. Then came the Joogleberry Playhouse. Having opened their doors in 2003, this quirky café and cabaret bar has filled a gap in the market with a bit of off–road entertainment. Upstairs you can relax and be served all manner of global munchies, while downstairs is the dark and starry wonderland of the cabaret bar. There's a varied programme of jazz, indie, funk rock, drag acts and flamenco on offer, so if you can't find something you like, you may as well be pushing up the daisies you miserable old sod.
