Great Eastern, The

This pub is a real gem. A true rarity in the North Laines; a cosy, old style pub. Its book lined shelves and wooden panels give it a warm glow. It has a simple quality not often found in the centre of town. No minimalist décor, silly artworks made of old skateboards or thumping music here. Just talking, reading the papers, drinking beer –isn't that how pubs are supposed to be? Popular with a range of friendly and quieter–than–average Brighton folk.
