Huge gilt mirrors, golden cherubs, toilets with mirrored walls, and there's even a manicured poodle in a basket behind the bar. The friendly staff appear to have a predilection for huge diamante broaches – and that's just the men. This is the type of placethat if it didn't already exist you'd have to invent it for sheer novelty value. Its popularity is buoyed up thanks to the superb Sunday lunches, and personal touches. If it's your birthday, beware; the staff will screech out a rendition of 'Happy Birthday', and present you with a fairy cake fizzing with sparklers. Behave.
