After successfully winning the Third and then Second Division Championships, the Seagulls have proved that they have got the talent to play with the big boys. The stadium at Withdean is a small, concrete anti–climax, but plans have been approved for development of a site at Falmer. After a deluge of managers in recent seasons Brighton have currently got Mark McGhee at the helm. The ex–Millwall boss will deserve any bonus he gets if he can keep the Seagulls up.
