Theatre Royal
Nearly 200 years old, steeped in history and rumoured to be haunted by a resident ghost. We like to whisper this news in a sinister tone to any children we encounter on our visit. Aside from the comedy value of making innocents cry this is the place to come for big shows and plays. It attracts some of the biggest national tours as well as making room for some 'wackier' characters. Excellent productions without the extortionate ticket prices you'd pay if you saw the same production in London.
