Momma Cherri, Philadelphia–born professional soul singer turned cook has given the Brighton locals another place to feel guilty about visiting. Collard greens, chicken fried chicken, jambalaya, buffalo wings and pig's feet certainly ain't part of the GI diet, but oh boy– if you want to get stuck into to some superbly authentic soul food then forget KFC.. this place is the real deal. Gordon Ramsey featured the place in his 'Kitchen Nightmares' programme and the food got an A+. Coping with the logistics of running a popular restaurant was the issue apparently, so expect a dining experience akin to Thanksgiving at your Auntie's house – together with 16 first cousins and your Grandma. Perfect for groups, birthday celebrations and anyone with a taste for massive, calorific desserts. We could barely raise an eyebrow to ask for the bill.
