Thank God for acronyms: Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Gallery doesn't quite have the same ring. Pressing a buzzer to be granted entry does nothing to allay fears of pretentious artists sipping red wine. What lurks behind the guarded door, though, is a pleasant surprise.
