Crescent Theatre



The Crescent stages about 15 productions of its own every year and plays host to a load of visiting companies too. We're talking proper plays - i.e. the sort of thing you might study for GCSE English; none of yer ex-Australian soap stars wringing the last little bit of life out of their questionable celebrity status here. This is theatre to entertain and get you thinking about stuff a bit more serious than when to boo and when to clap. It's located just off Broad Street, and manages to contain more culture than the entire street.
