Can't wait until next Shrove Tuesday? Get yourself down to the Double Dutch Pancake Bar. Not only do they serve a delicious array of sweet and savoury toppings, but you don't have to sit through an hour-long church service in order to justify it (don't worry, we accepted our fate of eternal damnation a long time ago). The extra friendly owner believes in simple, honest food (she really is Dutch, you know), and insists that pancakes provide the perfect balance between healthy eating (1 plain pancake = less than 1% fat) and sweet indulgence (just ask for extra cream).
