Some rat-dog toting fashionista types may think that the only place for a good bit of trendy shopping is trolling the streets of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. If that happens to be you, then we wouldn't bother reading on, unless you're willing to give good old Sheffield a chance in its grand bid to become posh. Central to this attempt, the environs of Ecclesall Road are up-and-coming to the first degree. Head down here and you can lose yourself among all those beautiful people buying beautiful things in beautiful shops. Okay, so maybe it's not all that beautiful - there may still be the odd teenage scally with his missus and five young nippers lurking round the edges, but we still reckon it's damn close. You'll be sorry if you give this place a miss.
