The reaction you get when probing Record Collector staff is comparable to that of Comic Book Guy in The Simpsons - you'll never know enough to satisfy him. Having said that, this little independent music TARDIS in the heart of studentville never fails to come up trumps. Deciphering the haphazard indexing system they use would probably earn you a place on the Krypton Factor, but once you've done it, conquered the summit of the free music journals, and battled your way past the browsing regulars, you feel like a hero rather than a distressed damsel as you find a few decent albums to invest your loan in.
