If you can't go to the game then watching an England match at the Grey is a lot like being on the terraces...back in the 80s that is. This is probably the most exciting pub–footy experience you're likely to come across, just make sure you get out early if it looks like your team is going to lose –tempers can become a tad frayed. When Beckham's boys are off–duty, there's still plenty of sporting action on the big–screen telly or you can have some of your own on the pool table. A decent pint, a decent crowd, and being opposite Hallam Uni makes this a well–rounded waterhole.
