Now we're not ones to follow the advice of style magazines, but when people proclaim Sola the hippest place to drink in Sheffield, we have to nod our heads in agreement. Lurking in the depths of Trippet Lane, this underground drinking destination had us reminiscing about Bond in more ways than one. The funky lounge décor is perfect for artful posing – and seducing that foxy young socialite –, while the extensive wine list has visited more countries than our favourite super–smooth spy. Sidle up to the ice white bar and sip something special from the award–winning cocktail list, which covers everything from the classics to contemporary creations like the Kentucky Framboise – a heady mix of Bulliet bourbon, fresh raspberries, Chambord, sugar syrup and lemon juice. Relax amidst the plush seats and post–modern décor and ponder on a life of international mystery.
