Indian food can be volatile and, before you can say 'korma blimey', the chutney's hit the nan (proverbially speaking). But Kayal is irreplaceable, bestowing you with a southern Indian cuisine which enlightens the often rather narrow British outlook on Indian food. Still catering for the 'Give me your hottest one' types, it also has seafood soups, pert appetisers and some adorable aromatic mild ones. You won't find queues for the toilet, soft bog roll or good books lurking around your trouser wrapped ankles – it's straight for seconds.
