If they'd got it wrong, this place would be all doilies and fragrant soaps. Although you do find the odd Hyacinth Bucket ('it's Buckét dear') type browsing through this vast selection of vintage and modern home-fillers, they got it about right. Below the high ceilings and chandeliers are hourglasses of every size and shape, five-foot wooden wine racks, recipe books, arty farty jewellery, second-hand cinema seating, household paints, quirky cards, bicycles, oh, and fragrant soaps. It's pricey, but the staff and the chien, a sociable basset hound named Mulberry, don't mind you having a good poke around.
