Jumpin' Jak's

This place is a dream for hen and stag parties. Yes, it's cheesy; yes, it's full of sleazy blokes in those short-sleeved, buttoned-up shirts with the wet-look hair gel, but it's also the most unpretentious club you could go to in the city. Self-knowledge, after all, is a liberating thing. It knows exactly what it is and it embraces it. It's unintimidating, the drinks are cheap and the staff should have an award for their smiling faces. We like to think that it restores the balance: for every poser to prop up the bar in Geisha, some girl wearing fairy wings will pass through the doors of Jumpin' Jaks.
