Falafel

For some welcome respite from the bus-fumed gauntlet that is Rusholme's Curry Mile, push open Falafel's glass door to unveil a world of lovely wraps and pots of mint tea, followed by sickly-sweet but delicious baklava. If the Arabian pop and people-watching opportunities provoke lingering, be prepared to ward off quizzical stares from the (otherwise amiable) staff and their mates. The repertoire extends to Nando's-style chicken, meze and heaps of salad. Re-emerge feeling neither overstuffed nor overcharged: truly a Rusholmian rarity.
