Hang Won Hong Supermarket
Remember when you were a kid and you used to build mini cities on the breakfast table out of Weetabix boxes? The Hang Won Hong Supermarket is like a grown-up's version, except fashioned from packets of noodles and cans of coconut milk. A maze of tiny aisles lined with teetering stacks of stock, it's usually rammed, so you get the feeling everyone is praying they won't be the one to send everything toppling like edible dominoes. As well as the authentic and super-cheap tinned and packaged goods, this is also a top place for fancy veg- you'll find everything you need to whip up an authentic oriental dish.
