Hardy's Well

Situated on the edge of the no-man's land between Rusholme and Fallowfield, this iconic pub is best known for the Lemn Sissay poem that adorns its exterior wall, which nobody can ever quite manage to read to the end when passing in traffic. With a pool table for the more athletic punters and big screen live sports, this is a traditional pub if ever there was one, with excellent bar staff and a mixed clientele of locals and down to earth students. The beer garden ain't the prettiest, but at least it gives drinkers the opportunity to finish reading that bloody poem.
