5th Avenue

Swaggering drunkenly at the opposite end of the sophistication spectrum to its curiously chosen namesake, 5th Avenue is loud, cheap, sweaty and studenty. It's the kind of place where you'll find yourself at 2am, covered in beer and jumping up and down in a circle of strangers singing your heart out to 'I am the Resurrection' – which can only be a good thing. While indie music has flown in and out of fashion over the years, this archetypal indie discotheque has remained true, flying the guitar shaped flag high and providing plenty of stupidly cheap drinks to ease things along.
