Harvey Nichols
The 80s are over but good old Harvey Nichols is still happily championing glamour and excess aplenty. As the latest addition to the empire arrives in Manchester, prepare to feel inadequate as the designer den brings culinary creations to us commoners. As expected, the interior design has been given a thorough going over by an image consultant with a Hermes tote full of colour swatches, and the result is a striking black, white and orange colour scheme with granite flooring and clean white walls. If the food had eyes it would probably look you up and down before tutting loudly and turning to talk to the condiments, but we'd recommend you go anyway just so you can say you've been to anyone who'll listen.
