The least obviously 'chainy' of the Deansgate Lock family, Fat Cat Cafe has a breezy confidence that sets it apart from the airs and graces of Sugar Lounge, Loaf and Revolution. It doesn't ache that 'affected' vibe like a bad dose of rheumatism and there's no bitchy groups waiting to claw your eyes out. Staff are friendly, and considering this place sits comfortably in the café bar bracket, their food – check out the specials – would sit quite happily on a restaurant table.
