A year 2005 café bar experience if ever there was one – a schmooth cocktail of slick service, stylish surroundings, excellent food, funky music – supplied by the likes of the Unabombers and Paper Recordings and a young-but-affluent style-conscious crowd. Popular, but not so much that you're squeezed in between a well-perfumed armpit and a deconstructed-chic covered rear-end – there's plenty of room to admire the good-looking clientele. Some places have it and some places don't – and Zinc's definitely got it. Intriguingly, amidst all the interior design high-points they've decided to give us all some exercise by situating the toilets down a corridor so long it brings you out in a bunker under Ancotes – nice touch.
