Alderley Edge

The sign says 'to the edge' — brilliant. This is a lovely wooded area, which suddenly turns into little alcoves, tunnels and caves once you've found the edge. Make sure you've got an idea where you're going before you set out, or you could end up wandering further than you bargained for – about 6 miles further last time I went –. Good for a little 'famous footballer walking the dog' action as a few of the United team live around here.
