With only nine tables at this suburban, Simon Rimmer restaurant, you'll need to be very organised or very persuasive to bag a seat here. Vegetarian food with an ethical approach may sound as exciting as an evening in watching DIY SOS, but the dishes on offer at Green's could easily rival any of Delia's meat creations at ten paces. The warm atmosphere includes a BYO wine option, and they won't even charge you for twisting a corkscrew round for a couple of seconds. Our only moan is that you have to pay extra if you want salad, veg or potatoes with your main –I think people should pay me to eat salad, but then again I'm a philistine.
