The Bloomsbury Set
We like to imagine Virginia Woolf getting her messily wound-back tresses trimmed at this slightly twee salon, but the closest thing to a 'set' Itchy saw was that of the blue-rinsed old lady next to us. It's one of those odd salons that seems to bridge the generation gap – even though there was an octogenarian having her poodle-curl poofed, our hairdresser seemed fairly au fait with the latest celebrity-style fringe we were requesting and the result was quite fetching. Not bad, but note to self: stop choosing salons on the basis of a good pun.
