The Belle Vue

The Belle Vue is quite pleasant. And yes, that is damningly faint praise, but it's true. A bland interior – a bit like boozing in a sub-standard show-home – with satisfactory service. See? Pleasant. But do people have amazing times in pleasant pubs? They do not. They merely have a pint. Maybe two. Or they get dumped. Because that's what happens at inoffensive pubs. Not even the commendable menu can perk things up. Which is a shame, considering the location.
