Bethnal Green Working Men's Club

Back in the day, this was a place where the working men came for a warm welcome and a warmer pint. Fifty years later, hipsters dressed like extras from Cabaret elbow each other in the queue. Woe betide anyone who dresses burlesque on rockabilly night, sports a quiff on soul night, or shows up after 9pm. But the dress code effort and early start do pay off – once you make it through the door, bar prices are low, spirits are high, limbo poles are low, hemlines are high... can we stop now?
