The Castle Climbing Center

This cavernous indoor climbing wall is a mecca for cramped-toed and muscular-fingered monkey people. It's as popular with beginners on their excellent courses as with experienced mountaineers. 450 routes along 90 roped lines are spread over two floors, with crash-matted bouldering walls, a shop and a café. Understandably it's a busy joint on weekday evenings – if you like your walls less crowded, try the Westway (www.westway.org.uk).
