The piercing gaze of a long-dead strumpet is enough to put the willies up anyone. A whole wall of spooky photos of people who are either dead or hammering on death's door like decrepit Avon ladies is enough to put you off your beer-which is Young's, by the way. In between wondering why the eyes on the photos are moving and the froth on your beer is spelling out 'revenge' you're unlikely to notice the rest of your surroundings, which are old man pub-ish, and the ambience, which is run-of-the-mill.
