Grand Union

The Grand Union may be one of a wee chain, but it's hardly an All-Bar-One state of affairs with microwave food and Maroon 5 on loop. The Camden branch is typically trendy but utterly unpretentious; huge armchairs and homemade burgers remind you of your mate's living room and your mum's cooking. Expect a crowd of young media types and the odd celebrity – Jude Law was recently spotted. Staff run the ipod when DJ's aren't in: the music rule? No house or techno.
