Literally five minutes and figuratively a million miles from the bars of Upper Street, this delightful little boozer is a haven from the pomp and circumstance. They've kept all that's good about the old –polished wooden surfaces, leather-bound seats and real ales on tap – and added an adventurous, perfectly executed menu and great music. The refined answer to Saturday afternoon Islington? Nibbling on a home-made cornish pasty and washing it down with a bottle of French cider.
