Carmelli
Not a place to visit if you live by the Atkins diet, Carmelli is filled to the gills with kosher baked goods of the most tempting nature. Choose from the enormous range of speciality bagels, pastries and cakes, huge pictures of which provide the décor and make you ten times more hungry. Notable edibles include so-rich-it-hurts cheesecake, pain au chocolat and gateaux of all descriptions. If you're planning a North London knees-up, Carmelli also create spectacular platters to order. Just don't expect your trousers to fit afterwards.
