RIBA café
Bit of a posh one this. Head here for your pan-fried calf's liver and for the terrace, which is where the proverbial 'it' is at for lunch in the summer. Being on the first floor of the Royal Institute of British Architects you know you're in for some interesting company, should you head to this well-priced coffee bar and brasserie alone. Just remember that an aptitude for extravagant Lego and Meccano creations at age six does not mean you should launch into your thoughts on the construction business. Keep it real and tuck into a toastie.
