Globe, The

Used to be dead busy with people toasting a victory or defeat straight from Wembley, but these days it's still a firm favourite with the locals, if not the Wembley crowd. Serving us a fine selction of lagers and ales, as well as good English tucker in the restaurant upstairs, the Globe's even been on the receiving end of an award – from FHM no less. Sadly this doesn't mean the waitresses are dressed in skimpy bikinis and insist on draping themselves on the bar. You can't win 'em all.
