Rock & Sole Plaice

Warning: one visit here and a pissed up stagger into your local chippy will never be the same again. You'll feel dirty, cheated, depressed and ready to try anything to get yourself your very own R&SP at the end of your street. Chips here are too good to be true - thick cut, handmade and crispy, fish is firm and battered to perfection and mushy peas don't have that kryptonite glow. There's outside seating on the street and a cosy caff style interior. Punters are a cross-section of London life with cabbies sat next to club kids and mothers next to businessmen. All in all: genius fried stuff at a fairly steep price. At least that's something to tempt you back to Bry's Kebab and Fishery Plaice, though we doubt it.
