Get here early...the bargain lunch deals - £3.80 with unlimited tea, Mon-Fri 12-3 -cause a minor stampede the minute the clock strikes 12. It's well worth trying to beat the crowds; the food's great, the atmosphere is friendly and buzzing and the waiting staff wear comical, overly smart bow tie and suit combos. It ain't flash but it has a certain charm making it worth checking out outside bargain basement time. Apparently they have karaoke for office party type things, oh and it's kind of romantic in an old skool way.
