Babylon at The Roof Gardens

You've spent a long day pounding the streets of Kensington, making sure that daddy isn't disappointed when he gets this month's credit card bill. You're tired, hungry and sick of the city. Trouble is, you've left your passport at home, which means your little trip to Monte Carlo will have to wait 'til tomorrow. But before you break down in a blubbering heap, you'd be wise to head seven floors up in the lift at the Roof Gardens. At 100 feet above street level, the Babylon restaurant is an oasis of calm and luxury in, and over, the city. You'll find the food and service match the view –the chefs use ingredients grown in the garden –and there's a private members' club where you can dance the night away after dinner. The only thing it doesn't have is a beach, but if you refuse to leave without a swim, there is an enormous aquarium they might let you have a dip in.
