Victoria Art Gallery
Named after Queen Victoria, around since 1897 (the gallery that is, not Queen Victoria, she's a little bit dead unfortunately), the Victoria Art Gallery is the receiver of around 92,000 visitors annually. Why so many? Well, as far as we can work out, it's all so they can gawp at a collection of 150 china dogs. We can't think what else they're here for, because frankly the dogs are mad as a hat and well worth a look. Oh, you could also come for regularly updated exhibitions, or paintings, sculpture and so on from (mainly local) artists such as Turner.
