Theatre Royal

Nestled neatly, among the city's plentiful assortment of restaurants and cafés, is the grandfather of all buildings in Bath: The Royal Theatre. It's one of the oldest buildings in the country and – if its old walls were able to speak – Itchy is convinced they would start by saying: 'back in my day...' The theatre programme is constantly changing and the stage often plays host to theatre groups from across the country. If you're a bit of a theatre buff but money conscious, then keep a look out for the last-minute student tickets that should only knock you back about a fiver.
