George at Bathampton, The
This pub might be a couple of miles out of town, but the walk along the towpath is lovely on a sunny day, and the welcome alone is worth the effort. Add to this good beer, pub food, and the option of sitting outside, watching the holidaying families and odd-looking greasy-haired people float by (on their barges; we're not suggesting that people dump bodies in the canal in a sinister, gangster-type fashion. This is Bath after all, dahling).
